Terri gave us this pattern back in December and here is mine all stitched up. I stitched a small butterfly from DMC for the tuck I won.
I found this to be a very interesting way of getting involved in Breast Cancer Support and Fundraising.

Xavier University will be hosting a "Think Pink" Breast Cancer awareness game on Sunday, February 17th at noon. Fans are encouraged to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness. If you are interested in tickets, please let me know! We appreciate any support in this great awareness cause! Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children under 17. Groups of 15 or more receive a $2 discount on tickets ordered in advance and will have their group on the video board and game program. The address of the Cintas Center where the game will be played is 1624 Herald Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45207.Let me prefix this with some history. I am a nut about how pens feel when I write with them. When I was purchasing school supplies for the past couple semesters my school bookstore has been selling Paper mate pens that are pink (Write for Hope pens) and some of the proceeds go towards a cure for cancer.
When I join the group - I mentioned it to Kim and the thought came to me ...write Paper mate and thank them. Which I did today and found....
Write a Note for Hope. You write a short note and submit it to the website and enter into a chance to be awarded $500 to be donated in a person's name & the money goes to support City of Hope - to help find a cure towards breast cancer.
Wanted to share!
Plus for every pen and eraser sold in 2008 - 10 cents is donated until they reach $200,000.
Grab a pink pen and start Writing a Note for Hope!

Received this email from Michelle -
Hi Kim, I'm up late shopping for quilt fabric and came across a free Quilt Pink quilt pattern at Moda Fabrics. http://www.unitednotions.com/fp_quilt-pink-2.pdf
I immediately thought of Stitch Pink! I don't know if this would be of interest to anyone (other than me) reading Stitch Pink so I wanted to check with you before I posted it... or if you want to post it... or whatever. I think it's just darling. I also think the quilted blocks would look great with cross stitched blocks alternating, checkerboard style, too.
Let me know what you think. :) Thanks! MIchelle
I just received this email from Leigh...
Kris and Kim,
I was directed to the Stitch Pink blog by a stitching friend. I am very glad for it. I downloaded Kris's breast cancer freebie, not knowing if I'd ever stitch it.
Shortly thereafter, I got a Christmas card from some dear friends. We found out that my friend * (poster asked that the name be left out for public posting) had recently overcome breast cancer. He is one of the very lucky men who found it at stage 1 and was able to be treated quickly. Most men die, because their breast cancer is usually found until after the cancer has metastasized.
Well - I knew exactly what to do with my freebie. I adapted it to be in blue and pink (since he's a guy).
I hope you like my version. Feel free to post this adaptation.
Thank you for the project.
Leigh
Thanks Leigh! What a wonderful tribute to your friend! Please give him a hug for us! ~Kim~

I posted this on my personal blog and Kim asked me if I would also like to also post it here:
This is a pic of my friend Angie. Although we never met in person, we had become very good email, IM & phone friends. When I 'met' Angie she was going through treatment for breast cancer. She lived with her son in Maryland, away from her family. We had already planned to meet in Chicago when she passed through on the Amtrak train to visit her family in Alabama. Angie beat the breast cancer and was going back to work and getting on with her life. Just a few short months later they discovered the cancer was back, this time in her liver. Angie's mom and sister came to MD to get her and bring her back to Alabama with them. I didn't hear much from Angie after that. She did tell me that the doctors were pretty sure the cancer had spread and gave her about 6 months. We talked on the phone a few times and I figured she was busy with her family. Angie had a new niece (in the pic) and a nephew that she just couldn't get enough of. I tried to call her twice about a month ago but I just got her voice mail. I really wish she would have answered the phone. The cancer spread to her back and lungs and Angie lost the fight last Saturday (Dec. 29th) at 12:50 PM. Her family says she was determined to make it through Christmas and was able to sit with the family that day. She did tell another friend that she wouldn't see 2008. She was right. :o( I miss you a lot already Angie. I hope you are in Heaven teaching all the angels to cross stitch. Hopefully you took some of that stitching stash with you. :o)
Goodbye my friend. I'll think of you everyday. {{{{{Hugs}}}}}Elaine
Also, Angie was only in her late 30's. :o(
Sorry, with the approaching holiday, I don't know if I'm coming or going... LOL Sorry for the delay of announcing the winner.
I had an online friend select a # between 1 - 28, as that was how many were entered... and the number was 16!
Counted down the comments, and congrats to .... Cheryl
Cheryl, please email me your snail mail address, and I will get your kit out to you! Thanks again to Mercy for your donation of Full of Hope!!
Thanks Terri!
To print out the chart - what you can do is, click on picture to open it up, into a new window. Right click on the picture, and select - Save Picture As. Select the file you would like to save the picture. Then click on Save. Then you will need to go and find your picture, and print it out. :) I'm not sure if this design will print out straight from the webpage, do to its size.
I received the BC Pillow Tuck in the mail today and it is fabulous. Not sure what I will be stitching for it, but will post when I do.
I received it in the mail from Kim(thank you too Kim). It's so adorable in person too. I attached the charm on my cellphone and everyone is asking where I got it. So I told them I won it at the Stitch Pink blog.
I really apprecaite your donating it for a prize, I love it.
Sandy

Its going to be going strong for months to come! But I need your help to do it! As of this post, to have close to 5,000 visitors to this site in alittle over 2 1/2 months, is just AWESOME! Viv sent me an email with this delicious treat on it! Thanks Viv!
Hi Kim!
I'm one of those who read your blog regularly and in the spirit of the Breast Cancer month of October, I'd like to share with you a pic of a pink Tim Tam that is being sold here in Western Australia. Part of the proceeds (10 cents) of this product goes to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
The Pink Wish Tim Tam has a strawberry filling and the chocolate and strawberry combination sure is yummy. Hubby and I love them and since it also supports a very good cause, we have been buying several of these.
Enjoy!
Best regards,
Viv
Thanks to Elaine, who donated this lovely tuck pillow to be used as a contest on Stitch Pink. Elaine actually included two pillows! So there will be two winners in this contest. :) For shipping reasons, these pillows will not be stuffed. The pillows are about 8.5 inches unstuffed and the opening is 4-5 inches. She sized them to fit the chart from Dragonfly Stitches. What a great pillow to show off your breast cancer finishes!!

Last night while logging onto my MySpace, I seen this advertisment, normally I dont click on them, but Im so glad I did....
Look what I found! Love the ribbon, you have to see it to see what I mean! AWESOME!!

This is a popular jewelry company down here and all over really. I got their bracelet last year and hope to get this one, it's just taking me longer this month due to everything that's been going on. The bracelets usually run around $50, that's why. They are gorgeous though. This year they've added a necklace and earrings too. Thought you may want to link the website to your page. Although you can't shop off the website they do have a retail search page for every state.
Thanks,
Sandy
